In 2016, Bill Burdette, founder of the Center for Social Change and School of Love (SoL), met Elise Kost (SoL’s co-founder, co-lead) at a workshop she was co-facilitating on The Awakening Heart. They soon established an on-going Love-study of how to further bridge the heart and mind, including the works of Esther Perel, Thomas Hubl, Sadhguru, and many others. Together they explored various texts, wisdom traditions, practices around heart opening and connection, communication, mysticism, personal development, trauma integration, collective evolution, and more – all of which pointed toward the universal yearning for how to give and receive Love… how to be, Love.

In reading the book “all about love” by bell hooks, wherein she lamented that there was no “school of love” to help support people in experiencing healthier relationships, Bill was inspired to build one and invited Elise aboard. After a year of deeper visioning, they realized in order for SoL to manifest, they needed a producer, a guide to bring the project to life. Enter Hopi Noel Morton (producer, co-lead), who was also inspired by the quest of bringing the world greater access to the powers of Love. Hopi quickly assembled a team to help birth the vision into form. Together, we envision a great circle of resources and facilitators from around the globe, offering wisdom, experiences and opportunities to connect through what it means to Be Love; in Nature, in The Sacred, Intimacy, Art, Science, and in Service.
